FREEMAN DYSON FRS: "CLIMATIC EFFECTS OF CARBON DIOXIDE GREATLY EXAGGERATED"

Posted 12 October 2015

"To any unprejudiced person reading this account, the facts should be obvious: that the non-climatic effects of carbon dioxide as a sustainer of wildlife and crop plants are enormously beneficial, that the possibly harmful climatic effects of carbon dioxide have been greatly exaggerated, and that the benefits clearly outweigh the possible damage." An extract from the foreword by Freeman Dyson FRS to the report by Dr Indur Goklany on the benefits of carbon dioxide in increasing global crop production, posted earlier today. Professor Dyson, a world renowned theoretical physicist, is Professor Emeritus of Mathematical Physics and Astrophysics at the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton where he held a chair for many years.
