NIWA has recently provided a web page on how it combined the temperature records from weather stations at Albert Park and Mangere, to produce the ʻAuckland' component of the Institute's Seven-station Series (7SS). This page displays a simple but fundamental flaw in NIWA's methodology. Barry Brill explains why in a pdf file downloadable here
