SOUTH AFRICAN WHITE PAPER 'PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS BUT FEW SOLID FACTS'

Posted 25 October 2011

The attached memo  by Professor Will Alexander is in two parts. The first part deals with the White Paper that describes South Africa's position on the climate change issue. It is written in typical ‘UNspeak’ and is paved with good intentions but few solid facts.
The second part of the memo is technical. It destroys the very basis for the whole climate change issue. It is most unlikely that it will feature at COP17 but it is certain to be raised here in South Africa and spread to other countries in the years ahead. Unlike the many other criticisms of current climate change science, it is based on solid facts and not abstract theory.
